How we work
Register data
The source is the ESMA MiCA interim register, which we download every day from CASP Tracker's open data. The list of exchanges includes companies whose home country is the reader's country, or whose authorisation is passported to it, provided the authorisation covers a trading platform or exchange for funds or other crypto-assets.
Tests
The first tests have not been carried out yet. We will publish results once they have been checked.
- On each exchange we test with no more than 50 euros.
- We measure the identity-check time, the speed of a euro deposit, the total cost of a 20-euro bitcoin purchase, the payout to a bank account, and the customer support response time.
- Total cost = euros paid / (BTC received × reference price) − 1. The reference price is a public BTC/EUR price in the same minute.
- Every timestamp is backed by a screenshot.
- We repeat tests at least every 120 days.
